Biking in Valais
The Bildungshaus St. Jodern is well prepared for bike guests.

Hiking
There are countless hikes to discover here in Valais. Whether it’s romantic, adventurous, educational or sporty, there’s a hike to suit every mood. Mountaineering and sport climbing
41 of the 48 4000-metre mountains in Switzerland are located on Valais soil, 22 of them in their entirety. Visp is a perfect excursion for your mountain tours, both in the Valais Alps in the south and the Bernese Alps in the north.
The Upper Valais is also an excellent area for sport climbing and you can reach around 1000 sport climbing routes from Visp in less than 1 hour.
The Vertic Halle bouldering hall in Baltschieder is suitable for bad weather.
Swimming pool
You can cool off and enjoy a relaxing day of swimming at the Mühleye swimming pool in Visp or Geschina in Brig. Both swimming pools have a 50 m pool, a non-swimmers’ pool and a 1 and 3 m diving platform. There is also a volleyball court. You can also relax in the thermal spring pool in Brigerbad and enjoy the sunshine.

Immerse yourself with all your senses in the exciting and diverse world of the Alps. Get an overview of the entire region with this interactive exhibition and learn more about the history, natural and cultural landscape. An experience evoked by: exciting films, interactive experience stations, information graphics and artifacts.
Gold digger
Discover the gold mines of Zwischenbergen and feel like a gold digger in search of his fortune. The walk through the long tunnel is impressive; everything that was achieved here by the gold diggers. At the latest when panning for gold, every participant will get a little gold fever.
