What are the cancellation conditions?

1-5 rooms: The room & the booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival.

6-14 rooms: Rooms and booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 2 weeks before arrival.

from 15 rooms: The rooms & the booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 1 month before arrival.

Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail to info@stjodern.ch.
In the event of late cancellation, no-show or early departure, the total amount will be charged.

You can change the date or the room category (if available) free of charge up to the end of the free cancellation period. Please send us an e-mail to info@stjodern.ch.

1-5 rooms:
Please note that the stay must be paid for on arrival. You can pay with cash in CHF or with a credit/debit card. Late arrival is only possible if the stay has already been paid for.

5 rooms or more:
Please note that we will send you the invoice for the booked stay after expiry of the cancellation period. This invoice must have been paid up to 2 weeks before departure. An additional CHF 20 will be charged for payments from abroad. Bank charges shall be borne by the person making the booking. Additional services can be paid for on site at.

In the event of a late arrival, we can debit the amount from the credit card provided before we send you the information and the key code by e-mail.

At check-out we will send you a copy of the invoice by e-mail.

A valid credit card is required to guarantee the booking.
We offer the following categories: Standard without balcony, Standard with balcony and Comfort with balcony. We also offer four multi-bed rooms with eight beds each, shared toilets and showers, which are ideal for larger groups and families.

Our comfort rooms are located on the first and second floors and all have a balcony and box-spring beds. The standard rooms are located on the first floor (with a few exceptions) and are furnished with classic wooden beds.

Our rooms are all equipped with bed linen, towels and a hairdryer. The private bathrooms also have shower gel. Our double rooms are equipped with two separate single beds. We can push them together on request. Our rooms are deliberately kept simple, which is why there is no telephone, no TV, no air conditioning and no fridge in the rooms.

For allergy sufferers, we offer allergy-friendly bed linen by prior arrangement. Vinyl floors are laid in all rooms.

We have baby travel cots. You can leave a note when booking or inform us by e-mail. Please note that these beds are only suitable for children up to 2 years old.

No, there is no space for extra beds in the room. For families, we recommend our standard rooms without balcony with connecting door or our multi-bed rooms.

On the website you have the possibility to book a room with or without breakfast. The cost for breakfast is CHF 15.00 per person.

Yes, taxes and visitor’s tax are already included in the room rate.

There are price reductions for children:
Children up to 6 years accompanied by their parents are free of charge.
Children from 6 to 11.99 years accompanied by their parents have a 50% discount on the overnight stay and breakfast.
Teenagers from 12 to 15.99 years have a 20% discount on the overnight stay and breakfast.

We do not offer a wake-up service.
Reception is open daily from 7.00-20.00.

Reception is open daily from 07:00 to 20:00. Arrival after 20.00 is possible, see next question.

Of course, in this case we kindly ask you to inform us by 5 p.m. on the day of arrival at the latest. A late arrival is only possible if the stay has already been paid for.

Please ask at reception when you arrive.

If you have settled all outstanding debts, you can leave before 7:00 am. Please leave the key at reception or in the key box.

We have a storage room next to reception where you can leave your luggage for a few hours.

No, pets are not allowed here.
No, there are no cooking facilities. We are happy to cater for you in our dining room by prior arrangement. A microwave and kettle are also available for guests in the Jodru Stuba cafeteria.
In our cafeteria “Jodru Stuba” you can get hot and cold drinks and snacks 24 hours a day. You can pay for your consumption in the cafeteria with coins or Twint. Alcoholic drinks can only be purchased at reception or from our service team.

There is a parking lot above the hotel, which our guests can use free of charge during their stay. Please give us your license plate number on arrival, as the parking lot is regularly checked and fined. If you are arriving with a group, please let us know in advance.

Catering & Events

When can I have breakfast?
Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday (including public holidays) from 6.00-9.00 am. At the weekend the breakfast buffet is available from 7.00-10.00 am.

3 different breads, Weggli, 4 different jams, butter, margarine, honey, Nutella, muesli, cornflakes, rusks, yoghurt, meat platter, cheese platter, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, orange and multivitamin juice, tea and coffee.

Breakfast costs CHF 15.00 per person per day.
You can order a packed lunch from us in advance.
Yes, we offer half and full board. Please let us know if you are interested in this option when you make your enquiry/booking.

Our lunch and dinner each consist of 3 courses. We pay attention to a seasonal and balanced cuisine. We can prepare a vegetarian or vegan alternative if you let us know in advance. We can cater for guests suffering from allergies and intolerances if we are informed of these at the time of booking.

The menu of the day costs CHF 24.50 per person.
External guests are very welcome. Please register at least 24 hours in advance at + 41 27 946 74 74 or info@stjodern.ch.
You can hold various events in our house. Be it an aperitif, a celebration, a funeral dinner, a meal after a seminar or simply a cozy get-together.
No, we do not allow external catering.
No, it is not allowed to bring your own drinks into our dining room or to your event.

In our banquet documentation you will find an overview of our offers. You are welcome to make an appointment to discuss your event.

Breakfast: Children up to 6 years eat breakfast free of charge when accompanied by their parents, from 6-12 years you have a 50% discount, from 12-16 years a 20% discount.

Lunch and dinner: If you would like to order a children’s portion for the children, please mention this when booking. The children’s portion costs CHF 15.00.

Events: If you would like to order a children’s portion for the children, please mention this when booking. You will receive a reduction of CHF 13.00 on the menu price for the children’s portion.

In the Jodru Stuba you can buy hot and soft drinks, small snacks such as chocolate, Biberli or potato chips. We also offer a small selection of instant meals for emergencies. In summer, you can also buy delicious ice creams. Alcoholic drinks can only be purchased during reception and service hours.

Which room is suitable for my group?

There are plenty of parking spaces on our premises. These are free of charge for our guests. The license plates must be registered at the reception.

Unfortunately not, but there are fans for a more pleasant room climate.
