What are the cancellation conditions?
1-5 rooms: The room & the booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival.
6-14 rooms: Rooms and booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 2 weeks before arrival.
from 15 rooms: The rooms & the booked meals can be canceled free of charge up to 1 month before arrival.
Cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail to info@stjodern.ch.
In the event of late cancellation, no-show or early departure, the total amount will be charged.
Can I make changes to my booking (e.g. travel dates, room category)?
You can change the date or the room category (if available) free of charge up to the end of the free cancellation period. Please send us an e-mail to info@stjodern.ch.
Which payment methods are accepted?
1-5 rooms:
Please note that the stay must be paid for on arrival. You can pay with cash in CHF or with a credit/debit card. Late arrival is only possible if the stay has already been paid for.
5 rooms or more:
Please note that we will send you the invoice for the booked stay after expiry of the cancellation period. This invoice must have been paid up to 2 weeks before departure. An additional CHF 20 will be charged for payments from abroad. Bank charges shall be borne by the person making the booking. Additional services can be paid for on site at.

What room categories are available?
What is the difference between standard and comfort rooms?
Our comfort rooms are located on the first and second floors and all have a balcony and box-spring beds. The standard rooms are located on the first floor (with a few exceptions) and are furnished with classic wooden beds.
What are the room facilities?
Our rooms are all equipped with bed linen, towels and a hairdryer. The private bathrooms also have shower gel. Our double rooms are equipped with two separate single beds. We can push them together on request. Our rooms are deliberately kept simple, which is why there is no telephone, no TV, no air conditioning and no fridge in the rooms.
I suffer from allergies, can I stay overnight with you?
Do you have baby cribs?
We have baby travel cots. You can leave a note when booking or inform us by e-mail. Please note that these beds are only suitable for children up to 2 years old.
Is there space for an extra bed in the room?
No, there is no space for extra beds in the room. For families, we recommend our standard rooms without balcony with connecting door or our multi-bed rooms.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
Are taxes and fees included in the price?
Yes, taxes and visitor’s tax are already included in the room rate.
Are there discounts for children?
There are price reductions for children:
Children up to 6 years accompanied by their parents are free of charge.
Children from 6 to 11.99 years accompanied by their parents have a 50% discount on the overnight stay and breakfast.
Teenagers from 12 to 15.99 years have a 20% discount on the overnight stay and breakfast.

Reception is open daily from 07:00 to 20:00. Arrival after 20.00 is possible, see next question.
Is it possible to arrive after 8.00 pm?

Is it possible to depart before the reception opening time?
Is it possible to leave my luggage at the accommodation before check-in or check-out?
We have a storage room next to reception where you can leave your luggage for a few hours.

Are there parking facilities?
There is a parking lot above the hotel, which our guests can use free of charge during their stay. Please give us your license plate number on arrival, as the parking lot is regularly checked and fined. If you are arriving with a group, please let us know in advance.

When can I have breakfast?
What is offered at breakfast?
3 different breads, Weggli, 4 different jams, butter, margarine, honey, Nutella, muesli, cornflakes, rusks, yoghurt, meat platter, cheese platter, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, orange and multivitamin juice, tea and coffee.

What options are there if I have to leave early and still want to have breakfast?

What does a daily menu look like?
Our lunch and dinner each consist of 3 courses. We pay attention to a seasonal and balanced cuisine. We can prepare a vegetarian or vegan alternative if you let us know in advance. We can cater for guests suffering from allergies and intolerances if we are informed of these at the time of booking.
How much does the daily menu cost?
Can I have breakfast, lunch or dinner at St. Jodern as an external guest?

What does the event offer look like?

What are the conditions for children?
Breakfast: Children up to 6 years eat breakfast free of charge when accompanied by their parents, from 6-12 years you have a 50% discount, from 12-16 years a 20% discount.
Lunch and dinner: If you would like to order a children’s portion for the children, please mention this when booking. The children’s portion costs CHF 15.00.
Events: If you would like to order a children’s portion for the children, please mention this when booking. You will receive a reduction of CHF 13.00 on the menu price for the children’s portion.

How long can I rent the room at the half-day rate?
If the room is used for less than 6 hours – either in the morning or in the afternoon.
Is parking available for my group and how much does it cost?
There are plenty of parking spaces on our premises. These are free of charge for our guests. The license plates must be registered at the reception.
Can we also eat at the Bildungshaus?

Are the rooms air-conditioned?

There are various smaller rooms or space in our garden. Please let us know your requirements in advance.
